By: Ainsley Hall BUNKER HILL — Mill Creek Intermediate School’s Bryan Hott has been named one of the finalists for 2025 West Virginia Teacher of the Year.
Every year, the state recognizes important teachers throughout West Virginia who help support their communities and teach the next generation. State Superintendent Michele Blatt and an appointed panel choose teachers representing different counties.
“Teachers are the seed-sowers and trailblazers within our schools,” Blatt said in the official announcement. “Their care and involvement in the lives of children extend well beyond academics because they are called to nurture and support the whole child. As a result, they are the caring adults who are changing lives and communities every day. These finalists represent the best of West Virginia, and I am grateful for the work they do.”
Hott was originally named the Berkeley County Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025 back in May. He was chosen to represent Berkeley County after showing his dedication to his students.
